Hands down. Best Thai I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, fresh and interesting menu. The owner said they have a Thai chef and it makes all the difference!

The decor is tasteful and smart, the food is delightfully good, and the drinks are creative. Service is kind. I enjoyed the multitude of vegan options they had available. The sauce we had on all of our dishes (I think sesame ginger? Something spicy) was solid. Love the blue rice.

Food is delicious, this is our second time here; first time we got the drunk man noodles and pork paradise--absolutely amazing. The noodles were perfectly made (tasted handmade) and cooked as was the pork which was seasoned so well. Next time I got the flank steak Bangkok curry and my fiancé got the pineapple rice (served in a literal pineapple) with salmon. The curry was so deep in flavor and delicious, it's served on a plate and I found myself scraping it with the spoon to get all the curry I could. The pineapple rice with salmon a nice option for those who can't handle spice, and also very tender and flavorful. I've lived in Boston and nyc; I honestly think this might be one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in CT. Every single thing we have tried here has been delicious and full of flavor. Everything is definitely pretty spicy but we loved that! We brought two of our friends from Stamford who also fawned over how delicious this place was. I hope to try a new item every single time I go (and I will be back!) Ambiance is dark, moody, and intimate. Prices are super reasonable and worth it.

This one has been on my list after seeing many online recs, finally got the chance to visit and it was well worth the wait. We had the Pad Thai and Massaman Chicken and split a Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious and really just highlights the fact that New Haven has much better Asian food (and pizza) than anywhere in Fairfield County. Service was also attentive and friendly. The location is just off an overpass, tucked into a little side street residential neighborhood. There was easy street parking at the intersection. Highly recommended!

I have been here many times and every time I am so pleased by the experience. Amazing food, delicious drinks, great atmosphere, and nice service. This is my favorite place to go out to eat in New Haven. Not only are the food and drinks beautiful, they also taste just as good as they look. I highly recommend September in Bangkok. I came back again twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and I'm updating my review. While I think the appetizers are just okay, the dinner menu absolutely sold me on this place. The Mussels Pad Thai is an incredibly flavorful dish that needs to be experienced. The whole experience of this dish far surpasses the pad thai offerings from many local not-really-Thai restaurants. The crab fried rice is a masterclass in how a fried rice dish should be presented. At most places, there is barely any crab, and it isn't any different from the dish presented with other proteins. Here, the crab is piled high along with the egg on a bed of incredibly fragant rice and a startling good side sauce with intense cilantro flavor. And the portions? Always plenty to take home! Speaking of appetizers...the crab rangoon is very good, but it's too large and there's too much cream cheese. Smaller ones with a balance of that delicious crab to cream cheese would be much superior. We were eagerly anticipating the duck wraps but they just don't have the sizzle or flavor that one would expect from duck. The fried samosa spring rolls are the standout here--absolutely delicious and I would order them every single time! For the adults, the lychee drinks are lovely...we prefer the spicy one.

Very good food. This restaurant is very nice inside. It helps that food is very good as well. Haven't had good Thai in a longtime. This is a good restaurant to have good Thai. The first impression is always important and service and staff was great. Go check it out and see what you think.

Great Thai food with a very nice environment in New Haven. I tried several different dishes and they were all flavorful and tasty. Pulled Pork See Ew ($18)- I appreciated the slight uniqueness of having pulled pork with the noodles and it was a tasty combo. The noodles also had a nice flavor and were cooked to a good consistency. Lychee Duck ($29)- The duck was cooked really well so that the meat was tender and bones were not an issue at all. The lychees in the dish added some nice sweetness, while the sauce was super flavorful with a bit of a spicy kick to complete the dish. Seafood Kari ($30)- This dish featured a mix of different seafood with some egg and veggies. It was pretty good, but I was disappointed by the fact that there was only one singular scallop in the whole dish. Also, while the mussels were very big, they were a bit tough/chewy. I thought $30 was a bit much for this considering the amount/mix of seafood. The environment of this place does kind of make it feel like September in Bangkok at a nice restaurant, with a really pleasant outdoor patio area for seating along with a tastefully decorated and modern interior. They even added some Mother's Day balloons around the restaurant to celebrate the day. There is plenty of seating available in the spacious restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful. The service speed is pretty quick. The waiter did drop my credit card and return it in a rather oily state, but I won't fault him too much for that. Overall, with high quality authentic Thai food and an aesthetic and pleasant outdoor and indoor environment, September in Bangkok earns a very solid 4 stars from me.
